ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ

The University of ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ - Fort Smith UAS program has earned FAA UAS - CTI status. This designation is given to institutions of higher education that have met the criteria for unmanned aviation training programs per Section 631 of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018.

This program meets the licensure requirements in all states.

Requirements for teacher licensure vary by state and may involve more than successful degree completion. Graduates who apply for licensure may need to satisfy other requirements such as completing an application, paying a fee, and passing associated state licensure exams. Completion of an education licensure program offered through an ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ institution may not qualify a graduate to obtain a teaching license in any other state, but many states provide reciprocity for ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ educators. 

The following ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ programs are approved by the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Division of Higher Education and ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Department of Education. Students who successfully complete these programs and pass all associated state licensure exams are eligible to be recommended for ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Education Licensure.

• Biology with Teacher Licensure - (B.S.)
• Elementary Education - (B.S.)
• English with Teacher Licensure - (B.S.)
• History with Teacher Licensure - (B.S.)
• Music Education: Instrumental - (B.S.)
• Music Education: Vocal - (B.S.)
• Middle Level Education - (B.S.)
• Math with Teacher Licensure - (B.S.)
• Pre-K Level, Age 3-4 - (Endorsement)
• Special Education Resource Teacher, K-6, 7-12 - (Endorsement)
• Teaching English as a Second Language - (Endorsement)

Nursing programs offered by the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ College of Health, Education, and Human Sciences are approved by the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ State Board of Nursing. Upon graduation the student is qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse. Students interested in obtaining a registered nursing license in another state should check with the applicable licensing authority in that state.

Graduates who apply for licensure may need to satisfy other requirements such as completing an application, paying a fee, and passing associated state licensure exams. Completion of an emergency medical services or emergency medical technology program offered through an ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ institution may not qualify a graduate to obtain an emergency medical service license in any other state. 

The ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Emergency Medical Service program is approved by the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Division of Higher Education and ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ Department of Health. Students who successfully complete the program and pass all associated state licensure exams are eligible to be recommended for Emergency Medical Services licensure in ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ.

Graduates who apply for licensure may need to satisfy other requirements such as completing an application, paying a fee, and passing associated state licensure exams. Completion of a social work licensure program offered through an ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ institution may not qualify a graduate to obtain a social work license in any other state.
